The Last of the Polar Bears

Oh neat–the name I submitted for Toronto Zoo’s name the new polar bear cub contest (Boreas) is one of the top 5 finalists, and zookeeper’s pick, at that. There’s no prize, but I’d be so thrilled if they used my submitted name for the cub. The mother polar bear’s name is Aurora (goddess of the dawn) so I thought Boreas (god of the north wind) would be so perfect for him. Together they’d be Aurora Borealis. Voting is open through March 31st.
